Students from the Spring 2011 Introductory University Session

Signup today for the Shelby County Citizens' University.  The 10-week course is held on Thursday evenings from 6pm-8pm. The program allows citizens the opportunity to have a behind the scenes look at how county government works and how their tax dollars are spent.  Presentations include: chief administrative officer, administration and finance, community services, corrections, health department, planning and development, public works, public affairs, county attorney, public defender, office of preparedness, elected officials (Trustee, Sheriff, County Clerk, Assessor) and the county commission.  Applications accepted through August 7, 2013.  The first session begins August 15, 2013.  To apply, click here.
